This scallop shell is a great alternative to Abalone shells which are traditionally used in some tribes for catching ashes and embers when burning sage smudging sticks. The Native American cleansing method uses dried sage bundles to cleanse the home and items within it to heal people of negative energy. It can also be used for blessings.

The natural scallop shell can also be used as a unique dish for holding trinkets and crystals.
